my dad one year was at camp archery hunting . he was at our lower enclosed stand , when a bear came down the path that cane down earlier and circled the stand and walked up the steps and looked thru the door at him. after dad banged on the door a few times the bear left. as soon as the bear left the area , dad left to go back to the cabin.

Over-thinking it. Simple as that.

Slow the mind down, forget everything from TV shows or writers in magazines that have 1500 private acres to hunt in Iowa, stop keeping "score", and consider any hunt where you could have killed something and avoid starvation (if you had to) as a "win" and a darn good day.

I swear, when you stress and fill yourself with angst and doubt, you must give off negative energy rays that deer can sense.
