Looking to get away for a few days. What cabins are the best to rent at Cook Forest area?

Can't say I have been to them all but the Mrs and I spent two anniversaries (february) at the Gateway cabins. Nice log cabins set in rhodys and hemlocks...snowed both times and sure did make the setting nice and fireplace feel good.

Also stayed at the Clarion River Lodge..enjoyed that too, but that was just a room, not a cabin.

Hmm...might be time to start that anniversary tradition back up.

Have stayed at mcbeths before. Right on the river and pretty much in the middle of everything there. Also enjoy deer meadows but don't think they have cabins. Make sure you check out the deer farm.

Cisco, It depends on what you want & when you want it. The state park has nice cabins & they are reasonable, but they have no running water or bathrooms. A good friend of mine has 2 nice cabins at Clarington. Fallen Timber cabins, I think he supplies canoes, kayaks, or bikes. Google it & give him a call.
