I have had carpet beetles in the past attack my mounts. I fog my room with a Spray 2 times a year. It seems to be working. Does not leave a residue on the mounts.
We were told years ago by a well known taxidermist who has since retired to spray some raid, yes the ant/bee killer on a rag and wipe your mounts down. The raid keeps bugs away and it make the fur shine.
