There are 22 WMU's ? How many people are going to be able to give an informed opinion on more than 2 or 3 ? Meaning, how many people consistently, year in, year out, hunt various WMU's, and have enough acumen to discern whether they stink (even in their opinion) or not ?

I think a better question would be, what WMU's do you consistently Deer hunt, and do you think they are good, bad, indifferent, etc...

i agree i hunt a number of WMU's and you will find totally different deer populations within the same WMU. I can take you to places in the dreaded 2G that have plenty of deer...then take you on some state forest areas that have very VERY! few...same with 4D , 4B, 3B, and 3D...The whole WMU deal is basically a joke...You have agricultural areas and deep woods areas all in the same WMU. I put a lot of shoe leather in the woods. I'm not going to argue this fact...If you want to argue. Put your boots on and lets go...Iv'e offered this challenge many times to those that want to argue. So far nobody has showed up with their boots on. I'm not much for the whole WMU management.

This should have been one unit good one unit bad. If you thought your unit was good, then you vote good for your unit and nothing for bad, or vice-versa.

I did not see where it said you can vote for 3 in each poll, I only picked one and now I can't go back and vote again.

I don't think driving ten miles down the road has anything to do with anything. Its all a matter of who is voting and how they are voting.

How many people are voting one area (their area) is bad, and some other 3 areas of the state far away they have never even hunted is good just to make a point how bad their area is compared to other areas?

Thats why it should've been one and done.

I voted three good and three bad based on first hand knowledge of the ones I voted for.

My Bad:2G,4D,3B

My Good: 5C,2A,2B and I wouldve also added 2D

I hunt 2 wildlife units, 2G & 4D. Both are way too large to say good or bad. Some ares have way too many deer, others could have a population increase with no damage to habitat.
If you want fair and balance deer herds in most area the WMU will either need to be more numerous or divided into subunits. I'm not talking the size of counties but the size of townships. I don't see this happening, but it's what is needed.
