Great ties. i love seeing classics like the mickey fin. I need to get one of those cameras instead of my droid. You can count the strands on the grouse feather.

I was wondering about having a little contest and see who could catch the biggest trout on flies tied from things they had harvested.

Those are some great looking flies. They should serve you well this spring.

Nice looking flies, how do those estaz buggers work? I've been tying buggers the last couple evenings. Just put some together with a peacock herl body, black hackle, peacock sword (3 per side) in the tail to go along with black maribou. Red thread head and weighted. Looks good to me, just hope the fish agree.

Just a question did you use christmas tinsel for those?Could you?
I am not the creator of those flies, but I know you could use the Christmas tinsel for the base/body of the Mickey Finn flies and even ribbing, but the other flies require estaz or catus chinelle.
