It was a rough night. Pretty sore this morning. Raining pretty good here, going to be a long day.

First I caught a nice roughly 30#, second stop Ryan caught about a 25#, and a 45#.

That’s a good second day catch. Was the tail caught beaver dead?
Always makes you wonder how they get caught that way. Either hitting the trap at warp speed, or they’re outside the trap and flap their tail into it. I had one in a 330 this year…with only its front leg in the jaws. ???? Somehow it drowned in a foot of water.

It was another good day on the beaver line. Ryan crushed it today with 7 Beaver, and I had 2 beaver. The 2 biggest beaver today were a 57lber, and a 51.5 both taken out of the same swamp. Todays total weight in beaver was 321.5 which brings the total weight of beaver to 865lbs.

I got slapped on the thumbnail by a brand new Duke 330 this year and wanted to die. Beslisle on the tail...yeah, thats a dead beaver....lol. love it Jake!!! Keep after them!

Another long night in the fur shed. Dint see the bed until 2am, then up at 7am. Put 7 Beaver up last night. Pretty well caught up so that tonight won't be as bad and can relax a little bit. Going to pull some of the line today so that I make it back home at a decent time tomorrow. Will try to keep you updated as the day goes on if I don't fall asleep in the truck!! 😂

I have lost a conibear and beaver to a hungry black bear spring season before. I found a foot where he dined on it, but no trap. Just a thought.
