I got my CR cert and am looking forward to setting for K-9 after xmas. In recent scouting I have noticed some beaver in areas where i plan on setting for K-9. Ive never even thought about trying for beaver- but after reading the regulations (that are in the digest) it appears the "beaver snare" regs pretty much name the same equipment used for K-9 Cr sets- accepting the fact they need to be wet when set for beaver. Anyone have any experience with beaver snare sets? ie equipment, location, anchoring, dispatch, etc? Any info is appreciated.

i put them in a run nearly the same as a conibear . or i just make a baited or lured set on waters edge and hang a snare in front .little bit of guiding works well . for dispatch i use a 22 .i wire most snares to a tree or bush , beavers don't fight real hard.
