Was wondering when most of beagle owners run their dogs in the hot months. First thing in the morning or last hour??

I like the mornings when the due is on the ground and the sent is fresher the dogs seem to stay on line better, and it is somewhat cooler as well...

Ok. I had coyote hounds we always ran at dark because it could be a all night chase. I have a 8 m9nth I want to get him out throughout the season. I notice the rabbits at the house start moving about an hour before dark.

During the hot days of summer I get out early, 1st light, only run them 2 hours tops!! Plenty of water.
Not a good feeling when you see your dog drop of heat exhausted! I did it years ago when I was young and stupid, the dog bounced back, but never again

"Rabbit Runner, I like your avatar . very nice looking beagle. wouldn't be yours by chance would it?"

Yes sir, our Duke.
He just passed last fall, one of our very best.
Our kennel is full of his offspring and relatives
