BBQ Shredded Goose

Well we tried a new recipie tonight and I first of want to say its some of the best shredded bbq meat of any type of animal I have ever had!!!

Here is the recipie:

4 deboned goose breasts
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup salt
1/2 gallon apple juice
roughly 20oz favorite bbq sauce
crock pot

In a large bowl combine sugar and salt and add some water and mix together. Add your 4 goose breasts and make sure the salt/sugar mixture is covering all of the meat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 24hrs. Remove breasts from fridge and drain salt/sugar mixture from them. Add the breasts to the crock pot with the 1/2 gallon of apple juice. Cook for 8-10hrs on low. Remove the breasts and shread the meat. Dump the apple juice from the crockpot and rinse it out. Put the shreaded meat back in the crockpot and add the bbq sauce, heat to your desired temperature and enjoy a GREAT MEAL!!

I served this on some rolls and everyone loved it!
