Just bought a Husqvarna battery operated chainsaw. Man do I love this thing. I have a 5 acre starting pen for beagles so I do a lot of small tree cutting for cover and brush piles. 14 in 36 volts and very light. I'm getting a lot done in a short time because it is so convenient and light. It was a little pricy but I go husky all the way. I have 2 husky gas saws and a 27 hp husky tractor. I bought 2 batteries so I can switch them out. They also make other things that use the same battery.

We used them in underground coal mines. The ones we used were pretty pricey, around 800 bucks. They worked well.Forty years ago we used 30 inch bow saws to cut posts. Funny thing, as a new miner, it didn't matter what you did sawing posts, the old guy on the other end of the saw always told you weren't sawing right. Either you were pulling too hard, not enough, to fast ,too slow....I think a lot of miners today have never touched a bow saw.
