Just wondering if anyone tried the Barnes ammunition yet? I'm thinking of getting a box of 180 grain tipped TSX for my 300 RUM to try see if they group any better than the Nosler Accubonds
My dad shoots the 180 gr Vor-TX ammo out of his .300 Mag. He shot a cow elk with it this year. DRT (Dead right there) at the shot.
I shoot Barnes 168 gr TTSX handloads out of my .30-06. They shoot well, have accounted for 3 white tails and a 325 yard elk. All 1 shot kills. On the elk, I shot her through the front shoulders, the bullet passed all the way through, even at 325 yards.
Awesome bullet!
