I have never owned a rangefinder and wanted to start inexpensive.
Does anyone have experience with the Halo 2555?

I have a Halo XRC model. It is good out to 500 yards which is farther than I am going to shoot. I have it for about 5 years and I have not had any problems with it. I have stood next to people with much more expensive range finders and mine showed the same distance as theirs when we raged things for comparison. I got it from Sportsmans guide. I see they are out of stock but they gave a Halo good for 750yards for a small amount more.

I like my Halo XRT-7, under $100 with the rebate. That said, my 1st one around 15 yrs. ago I got from a guy in Calif. off ebay.

Too many choices once I looked on eBay.
I finally pulled the trigger on a Leupold 1200i in orange camo.
Not quite the bargain route but I can’t wait,

The difference between cheap and good isn't about how accurate they are.You can't see good through a cheap rangefinder in low light conditions like you can with a higher end brand.
