After a dry month there was barely a trickle of water coming over the power dam downstream from my location.





That changed when we got two inches of rain overnite!





This one just because I wanted to experiment with sepia tones.
Waddaya know, the powerhouse really does look old timey!

Actually, it's a bit deceiving. If you look at the first two pics you'll see all the water flow coming from under the powerhouse. They were diverting it all through the turbines. You dont see water coming over the dam until heavy rains cause a surplus.
Funny also, it doesnt really seem to do a lot. Just three 3kw gennys and another that's about 7kw. But, when you figure that they run 24/7, 365 days a year, for over a hundred years, you can see where it's profitible.

Today would have been a great day for it, but it was too hot to walk down there.
