There is a beaver dam, the actual dam, on my property line. I am downstream from there. I am not able to trap the property that has the house and bulk of the impoundment of the upper dam upstream from my line. There is a secondary dam below the main dam. The overflow is flooding my road to my fields and I need to do something. I set 2 sets today, one 20' above the secondary dam and one on an overflow of the secondary dam. There are no other natural set locations unless we have freeze up. I have trapped beaver a number of times before, with good success, but never with the geographic handicap I have on this dam. I may be able to fit a couple bait pen sets in without entering the 15' area of the secondary dam. How effective are bait pens in your opinion? What other options are there if the main dam is on and above my line? Thanks for your help, Jim
