There’s not much to move away to. The great western states are being invaded by liberals fleeing California and the PNW. They bring their political ideas with them.

Our state is being controlled by Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The sprawling suburbs of each are liberalizing once conservative areas.
The nation is dying. There’s nothing to stop it. The inevitable end to all great societies. Stock ammo, hardware and hope that a call to arms never comes.

Also an ammo background check acts as a defacto gun registry.
When one filled out a 4473 it was a de facto gun registry. When I gave up my FFL in the late '80s I had to send my FFL, 4473s and logs to somewhere in Virginia, its been too long ago to remember where in Va.
Were they cataloged or stored for "future" use?

Here we go. Hard enough finding ammo last hunting season, now we may have to furnish ID and a background check for all ammo, if this passes?

as i have said before, if you have done nothing wrong, what are you worried about. anymore you want people to show drivers license to vote so why is this any different. as for charging for the background check, i dont agree with that. if they want to do a background check it should be on retailer selling the ammo. have they figured out how long it will take to do background checks for ammo and how many sales they will lose because of the time a customer will have to wait. i have no problem showing my ID to buy ammo. i remember back when you had to show ID if you bought ammo that could be used in both rifle and handguns.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

...background checks will not free.....what is the ammo background check fee per purchase going to be?....$1....$5......$10.....$20 ?

...criminals will not buy their own ammo....they'll have a GF do it...just like they do with guns.

With my luck as soon as I would buy a thousand rounds for each gun they would ban lead ammunition
Least of my worries. I will continue to buy what is available , lead or non lead. If or when lead is no longer allowed I will purchase what is , and hold on to the rest. If or when the :poop: hits the fan, what comes out the end of my gun barrel will be the least of my worries.

as i reload for all my firearms and have been a reloading supplies packrat for years, i,m good to go for the rest of my hunting-shooting life. if you don,t reload you will pay the price. if limited to one rifle it would be a 30-06 and pack in case-bullets in 125-150-180 grain weight and primers-powder. then you would be ready for ground hog-deer-bear in pa.

I have no problem showing ID to buy guns or ammo. However any background checks should be tied to a real ID issued by the state and not cost the purchaser or seller. If real ID can be used to board aircraft and access government buildings without another background check each time it should be good enough to buy guns and ammo.
With computer systems today it should not be that difficult or expensive to have almost up to the hour updates that clear in seconds. All court cases, convictions, acquittals or filings could be flagged before anyone leaves the courthouse. Temporary holds for suspects can also be updated in real time and cleared up quickly with a visit to or by the police that entered the data.
Adding a fee or tax to a background check is nothing more than harassment from anti gun/anti hunter activist. Waugh!
