At least on the use of sabots with rifle type ammunition in a black powder gun. And then no sabots !!!!

The following is all new to me. Anyone use them?

Hornady .50-Caliber FPB Black-Powder Bullet with Flex Tip Technology

"No need for a sabot with the new copper jacket design" I remember using the old lead ones, so this is new to me. I believe these could use a little "moosemilk" if you shot the muzzleloader more than once.

Unless you need the extra bullet length for additional range over a roundball, why spend the money. They sometimes do well in guns with a 1:48 twist. Keep in mind that they are intended for inlines which have a far more closer tolerances of fit for bullets. Of course they will all tell you they perform in older guns, which they "might"
