Hope someone can help, I have a '94 Suzuki 250 quadrunner 4wd. It ran fine until one day I washed it real good now it will start and idle for ever but as soon as I give it any gas it starts missing and shuts off. The choke is off and will kill the engine when it is idling if you put the choke on. I have cleaned the carb twice with pulling the jets out and made sure they were open. I am figuring something electrical got wet/went bad but how can I figure out what. Thanks in advance.

I am having a similar problem with a Yamaha Wolverine. We pulled the carb and cleaned it but it did not help.

I just purchased some new fuel line and will try that. The ethanol in gas will soften the inside of the fuel line and it will collapse when the fuel draw increases. If that don't work I not sure what to try next.

If you think it is a fuel problem try ethanol free gas. You can go to pure-gas.org to find a station near you. My quad sat for 3 years with gas in it I filled it with ethanol free and it started right up, I don't even need to use the choke.

check the spark plug wire,the wire just pushes into the boot,water sometimes can get in there(between wire and boot) and cause the problem you are describing.hope this helps,larry

Check your airbox and the coupling.You may have drenched it.
