A good freind of mine who used to do the hunting/fishing shows tour all over selling his hand carved wooden trout (he does it on Ebay now) was offered a Geman MP40 submachine gun at a flea market with no papers no questions asked kind of thing. He just said sorry not interested and walked away quickly, but a lot of that does go on and those who partake reap what they sow ...

He should have reported it to the police if it was a functioning weapon.

Pretty sure he did not, but I think he knew the guy and did not want to rat him out.
