Am I reading correctly that an archer doesn't need orange during the first two weeks, but small game hunters do? Junior hunting for squirrels and pheasant opens today, they need to wear orange, but the archers in the same woods don't. What am I missing?

I agree, on the farm I hunt I'm not too worried. I might hit some public land this week....I'll have my vest on when moving around.

Last place i'd be in archery is in a treestand during squirrel season...too many people shooting upwards.

My brother was in a treestand once and a squirrel hunter came by. He whistled and the hunter looked up at him. Then he took a shot at a squirrel on the tree below my brother. After he stopped yelling at the squirrel hunter the hunter replied "didn't you see that squirrel?" Crazy
