Hi, would you mind giving me the "sales pitch" on this ssrt thing?
well if you insist. SSRT is otherwise known as Snow Shoe Rails to Trails. it is an old rail road bed that is located in snow shoe PA. northcentral part of the state and the trailheads are off I80 only a few miles. there are two neat features you can ride on with this trail system. One is a long tunnel that was built right after the civil war. it is 1200 ft long from what I remember. I have not found somewhere else that has this feature. There is also a large bridge that you drive over also. it is 115 ft above the water. here is a video. of the bridge and the tunnel
http://www.quad-life.com/videos/watch/36.html it also shows some of the trail available.
here is a ride I was on with pa bird man and a few friends. this is some off trail riding up there.

They are going to link the ssrt up with this trail system then

It costs 15 bucks to ride 365 days a year 24/7 and it has pretty much everything. hills, jumps, trail riding, scenery, mud, and pretty much the best main trail I have ever been on. they are very family oriented up there. in the winter there is normally a good bit of snow and ice. there is also a little store alongside the trail that offers food you can ride your quad up to. the place is just simply awesome. it is a shame that it is 100 miles away from me but I have been up there numerous times this year. you can also camp at the trailhead. there is also an up to date restroom there.
