I thought it looked like a neat experience too. My son and I had planned on booking a hunt till we found out the owner was one of the guys supporting the USP and pushing their lawsuit. He was also involved with mountain lion hoax last year. No thanks, but good luck on your hunt wherever you go.

Unified sportsmen of Pa. Steve Mohr is the president. Lets just say they are single handidly trying to destroy the PGC. They file lawsuits against them which the PGC then has to use our dollars to defend. Steve even had an article in the local paper here about how the WCO's "club" fawns to death. Personally I think they are a complete disgrace to hunters and wouldn't spend 1 red cent at that place. Besides, being local and knowing quite a few in the area it's not much of a "hunt". He raises the animals locally on what's pretty much a farm and then boats them out the morning of your "hunt". Then you shoot it and go home. If you ever been to the bar in bainbridge on front street the huge pig in there is one of Steve's. From what I heard it was too big to get to the island so it was shot right in the pasture and mounted.

I went a few years ago on a "wild" boar hunt there. I decided to take the flintlock to make it additionally challenging. It was a huge disappointment for me. I did not shoot anything. The "wild" boars stood there and let you walk right up to them. It was certainly not a hunt.

With this said he does get a lot of repeat customers. Some find enjoyment in that type of thing. I don't hold it against anyone that does it just do not call it hunting. It is shooting. I will go to the farmers market and buy a pig and have it butchered before I pay to shoot one in that manner.
