Gathering information and photos for a book on the Western PA muzzleloader builder Wm. Shreckengost who made rifles in Putneyville PA from 1840 to 1880s. Here is what they look like. Any info appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the photos of these unique muzzleloaders. The bottom, swivel-breech specimen is my favorite, and that is simply because as a small time builder, I find that type of build to be absolutely intriguing.

Thanks for the fine photos. The, amazing drop-at-heel, which these western Pa. rifles exhibit, is quite unique.

PADingo, I am doing a very detailed study. I will take any information available. Old newspaper articles, family stories, photos, maps, details of their rifles, anything at all. Thanks
