A buddy of mine was unable to frost seed his plots and wanted to know if he could broadcast clover seed in the next two weeks. I told him I see no reason why he shouldn't because the seed would just lay on top of the ground until a good rain pounds it into the ground, and the seed would germinated sometime in May when it gets warmer.

Did anyone have any poor results by doing this.

I know... however he can’t get upstate for two weeks and the forecast for the next 2 weeks will be above 32 degrees

I think now would be better, but if I was in his shoes I would do it when he is up there. If he is only doing a small plot then he won't be out that much money if it doesn't work.

put out 50# of buckwheat the other day. time will tell!
