Last week I discovered that a pair of Redtail hawks have taken up residency near the border of my meadow. Since then I have been freezing my tail off trying to get some photos of them. They were either too far away or tucked back on the branches of a tree which also was clustered with those damng tent caterpillar webs which obstructed a clear shot. Yesterday morning the sun came out and I thought I would try again, this time I got the shots I wanted.

Griz

As a bonus while sneaking along the edge of the treeline I caught this little guy. My friend Rob Gratson likes to refer to them as, Fayette County housecats.

Nice Griz! My portfolio needs a grinner pic! I was out yesterday with the musket and you couldn't "sneak" up on anything with that crunching snow at 12 degrees!
