Just picked up this set of GBC Paddlemasters from a guy out in California for $70 shipped. The guys in the sand don't like them because they were heavy. They are made like a brick. For us coal climbers, paddles and climbing tires don't get any better than this.

However, they don't make them anymore.

They are tough to find. I did manage to get this set though. They still have the nipples on them in some spots.

I will be sporting these bad boys for the HPA Coal Climbing trip on June 12th.

Thought I would share with all of you.

If anyone comes across any of these, despite them being as rare as hens teeth, let me know. I am buying any and every set I see. I have rims sizes to fit anything from 8-10". They made them for 8 and 10" rims.

I bet they have some "bump" to em when ya ride on em. do you install em so the paddles are not straight from side to side between the tires? or it doesn't matter?

You'd be surprised... they ride pretty good. Not hard or bumpy at all.

You'll install these as you see in the second pic with the ruler... in that direction. Straight edge first, with the reinforcement in the back.
