I remember the days of getting a limit of rabbits without dogs and just kicking light brush.
I remember those days as well. But in my area, we had farm fields, fence rows, old fruit orchards, the lay of the land was much different than it is now. Nice bunch of rabbits.

My dad and I would typically kill over 100 cottontails a year in front of the dogs. Those days are gone. Now I have problems mainly finding places to hunt. Housing developments have gone up in many of the old locations and ppl just don't let you on their property like they used to. SGL often have excellent cover but no rabbits. And hares.......don't even get me going. They are virtually nonexistent in all my old snowshoe spots.
