On Tuesday it was 44 degrees when I left my house early AM, as the day came to life the wind picked up and the temps started to drop. We had a nice flock work us about half hour after first light, but they slid off and we pulled a pair off of them to get started. Then it was just slow going until about 10 o'clock and we saw a small string of geese fighting the wind way off in the distance. We called, flagged etc, and the birds let the wind lift them up and they floated past us very high to get downwind, and then they cupped their wings hard and dropped like they were from outerspace, wingtips almost touching!! It was beautiful. We "waffled" 9 out of that group. Needed to get to work, so we picked up around 10:30 so we could wrap up in time for a great PIZZA! Thanks to Mike, Jeff, and Greg for a fun morning. "Bella" made some nice retrieves which is always a bonus for me. Would like to maybe get one more RP hunt in before we start chasing the white ones! God Bless and hunt safe.
