I shot my '09 buck in November and it took nearly 16 months for me to finally get him back from the taxidermist, but the wait for worth it as I think he came out looking nice.

The color on the face makes me think it isn't. Either way it's a good looking mount, and Congrats on the buck.

The hair color IS going to look different when you're comparing indoor pictures against outdoor photos. I've always thought the tanning process can slightly change hair color too.

Yes, it was the same cape. As has been said, outdoor vs. indoor and the tanning process does seem to change coloration a bit.
