I brought one of my twin girls with me tonight. She is 6 and this is her first time out. We are in a double stand overlooking a hay field. Bugs were really bad on the walk, but ok 12 feet up. Hoping she gets to see something. Hard to get a 6 yr old to sit still.

One doe and fawn walked out into the field. They quickly ran across to the other side. Not sure if they saw or heard us or just move on.

We ended up seeing three buck and three doe. No shooters and the doe was too far out. This morning I am flyin sole. Ready to smoke a doe!!

Good luck to u 2. I just had a doe and fawn walk by at 10 yds. A little to dark in the wood for my comfort to shoot. She just got her get out of jail free card.

No other deer movement so far. At least it is really nice out. Fall is by far the best time of the year.

I saw a few tails in the distance, had one small doe come close, but then a 5-minute rain squall came through... she took off, I got soaked, and called it around 10 when I got sick of being wet and cold

Threw my stuff in the dryer and might head back out in a bit.

You must be a little further south of me. It just sprinkled here this morning for a few minutes. I did see the radar showed more to the south. Anyway...back at it now. So, as I am typing a doe walks up. 10 minutes later and one double lung shot...we have connected.
