I'm buying another 870 this week. the only problem with it, is the "clicker" in the magazine tube cap is broke or missing. when you screw it on, it doesn't click and lock the barrel on, it will loosen back up. do I just need to buy a new magazine cap? hopefully somebody understands what I'm asking. lol

thanks. I figured it was a quick fix, just wanted to be sure. wasn't positive if it was the cap that clicked, or something on the forend.

what ball are you referring too? I'm gonna have to compare it with my other one when I get it and see if there's anything noticable. if its a barrel problem than I will be fine, I have 3 other barrels.

when I get it, I'm gonna try my cap from my other 870 and see if it works. that will tell me if its the cap or not. if that doesn't fix it, a little duct tape sure will. lol

Do yourself a favor and pick up a new follower and the heavy spring while you are at it. Those factory followers are junk and will fail at the most inopportune times. Check out Brownell.
