Took the OLD (mid 1800's) 20ga double muzzleloader out today.Once again more young than older ones.Did get 3 big males.
Shooting 65grs of FFg and 1oz #6's.They did the job but I much sooner use #4's.With Muzzy shotguns you should go one size shot larger than you normally would in a reg shotgun.Tomorrow. . . .the 14ga goes for a walk!

Cool way to hunt them. I would love to do this someday! Have you ever taken a grouse with one of your flinter shotguns?

I have never hunted grouse with them but they would be well suited with no chokes.
If only grouse were around like they were when I was a kid here in Lanc. co.
Mine are percussion but I would not mind getting a flinter double built!
