Dad's old T/C remegade 1:48 still using the T/C patches and speer roundballs he had...the old crisco is nasty!

Also use T/C .430 grn. maxi hunters.

Enjoy using both.

All I noticed was the actual sweat soaked hunting shirt($3 walmart) and some serious ADD ers getting off track on the thread.
So my .54 LymanDeer Stalker has a 1/48 twist and shoots .535 round balls with.15 patch most reliably.
Maxi balls ok and Powerbelts ok but they tend to wander.
Plank told me several years ago my barrel is oversized.

-Green Mtn. drop-in 32"
-Pedersoli? 10"

3.-1:56, radius grooved
-1:70, square grooves
-1:30? square

4. Still trying dif. things in all of them. Some .526, .530 and .535 balls. Patches are .01 - .02. A .530 ball and .015 patch seems to work pretty well in all of them.

5.Patch diameter is about 1 3/8".
I use all 'wonder lubed' patches from Oxyoke or Eastern Mtn.

Not oversized but it doesn't grip the sides enough for maxis or powerbelts.

Hi FarmerHunter. Per us huntin together on the Late Season gathering.. i know we both have the same Brad Emig built PA Mountain Rifles. Ive been shooting the .535's vs the .530. They are very hard to load & im thinkin of going with the .530. I did shoot both but seemed to be blowin some patches with the .530's. Mebbie i'll try some .018 pillow ticking and see how they they shoot. My accuracy between the .530 & .535's were comparable but those darn patches sorta concerned me.

i just got off the phone with Brad & he said for competition shooting many go with the .535. He suggested a lubed wad over powder if I was still blowing patches with the .530's.

Thanks for all the great input guys!!
