Has anyone shot a 45-70 (Rifle) out of there contender? Thinking of purchasing one and wanted to hear experiences. Also if anyone wants to sell a barrel let me know.

378, I have a T/C Contender in 45-70 14" barrel with muzzle brake , I thought it would be a HANDFULL, but it's not ,If you ever shot a .44 mag pistol, you can shot it with no problems. steelhorse814

They are a BIG HANDFUL! I fired two shots out of a super 16 and never want to fire another. They even hurt out of the G2 carbines.

Go for it, They are not that bad. My 8 yo. son shoots my 18 inch TC Katahdin carbine, with Hornady 350 gr. rn. He used it this year for buck.

Had a nice 10 run to him and stop for about 5 seconds, before he could get behind the scope and pull the hammer back it was history !!! Not kidding it was there and gone, I never heard it coming. I ranged where it stopped 19 yds ! Next year maybe, he still had fun
