Been spending a pretty good amount of time on Public Ground in 3B in the last few weeks and deer movement and sign has been minimal per my own observations. Bad enough that I stopped what I was doing and spent another day re scouting several other areas near where I was hunting ( still within the 13,66,57 Metroplex of SGL's) and found similar results. Weather hasn't been fantastic but some days have been decent. Anybody else seeing the same lack of movement where they are????

Hunted long weekends all season in 3B. Weather has not cooperated. Had couple mornings that were chilly but not cold and calm and most every afternoon was on the warmer side. Very minimal movement.

A lot of acorns at the lower elevations. That is my excuse. Very few deer around our place the last month. This time of year, we're usually loaded with deer. It's very strange.

hunted around henry lott brook first day of rifle season I did not see a deer or hear a shot hunted same area Saturday when you could shoot either or same results you having any luck finding deer in that area

Few hunters generally. Deer hunters numbers are plummeting. Kinda scary the lack of pressure and shooting in much of the state. I heard my first shot at 8:15 opening day and my first shot at 7:50 yesterday. Yesterday, I only heard 7 shots by noon.

SGL I was on had lots of hunters.Fraction of the shooting from last year.Amish groups putting on drives.Saw no deer, others saw few also.

I hunt in 2F unit, in the Cook Forestt area. I hunted 3 - 4 days every weekend, from the opening of archery through small game, early muzzleloader, jr & sr doe season , 3 days of bear season, & 1st morning of buck season. I was archery hunting through all those early seasons. I saw very few deer in the many different areas that I hunted. I saw the grand total of 1 hunter in the woods in all of those seasons !!

Steve, we are just west of there and the deer are gone. Nothing on the trail cameras except for a doe and two yearlings that have been hanging around the house. I did see an 8 point cross the lawn one time. Something is wrong.

Saturday I heard 30 groups of shots by noon. First was right before 7 am. And then I heard 14 sets of shots from noon til dark.

I have 1200 acres to hunt thanks to a very generous neighbor. The property is laced with old tote roads that are now ATV trails.

We had 2 to 3 inches of snow so I decided to take a ride to check for sign. I put 2.5 miles on the ATV and did not cut a track. Nothing! Not even a coyote or turkey. I will try it again tomorrow.

It`s the same on all gamelands.If they don`t cut back on killing does it will never get better.

Odd to see four bucks, one six pointer, an eight (half the other side was gone)and the others looked like spikes along I80 between jersey shore and Danville this past Sunday. I thought the rut kicked in in the middle of November from the signs, but looks like it back on? Almost tagged two with the truck today, yet not one sign of anything over the weekend on camera or stand. Very odd.
