I was out shooting to day with my flinter funny thing I had some REALS CONICALS 320 grain
I loaded 70 grains of goex 3f man one rag hole 4 shots at 50 yards
My question I am holding 6 o clock under the bull I am 2" high at 50 i wonder if it will still be dead on at 75 yards?
I wanted to tr ythe 100 yd but the range was crazy to day too many shooters

REAL conicals are strange birds. If they fit your gun, they can do wonders. If your bore is a little loose, you'd shoot a better group with a single buck shot load. The tolerances for the depth of grooves seems to be what matters most. Real deep round ball rifling isn't sealed by the bearing bands of the bullet and accuracy goes to heck. On the other hand, with shallower grooves, the REALs are shooters. I have three REAL molds, and don't like em, but then again, I'm a traditional round ball guy with deep groove barrels.

Lonewolf,

Don't be a bit surprised if they're off in another county by the time they get to 75yds. Common issue with REAL's especially in 1:48 or slower twists. Another issue common to conicals with that style of tapered nose is turning after impact.
