Had another good hunt in Jersey this year. Went down there with the same group of guys I've hunted with the past 3 years and we brought home some bruins again.

Mine was a 175# female.

We had some debates over what slugs to use since we are limited to slug guns or muzzle loaders. I prefer the Winchester Partition Gold (right) Some of the other guys like the Remington Accutips (left)

Bear fat truely is natures ballistic gelatin.

I was hunting zone 1. She basically didnt go anywhere after I shot her. The first shot put her down and I took a quick follow up and that was the end of the road. I've seen bears get up and run off before so I preach to keep shooting if they are still moving.

I dont have any good pictures of my bear from last year but here is one of the bear I got in 2010. 240ish boar

We hunt both ways. I killed my biggest of the three by stand hunting on public land.
