I have done it in a pinch with card stock, you could do it with paper also, but why? One can of 4f will last a few lifetimes for the average guy who hunts our late season. Just dont use anything metal if you are "Making" it.

I've seen suggestions of using a plastic film can & round b & just shake. I'd do it in an emergency but as posted above a 1# can of FFFFg lasts a long time, mine goes back to when dad bought the Renegade in the 80's and I still have alot. That can still says DuPont, Pittston, PA so it has been around a long time!

I have black powder from the 1800s and tried it----It still works!! Ive added a touch to my powder horn just for the romance of it all-----every time I use that horn I shke it so as to think there is always a little left in it.
