I cant provide any proof, but when I called in and verified what I read on the books the officer told me anything .22 cal and under plus is rimfire is legal.

There are other rimfires out there (tho rare) I just don't want to see anyone get the wrong info and get in trouble.

I'll be interested to see if they adjust the rules after the 17wsm get big.

.22 Hornet can not be used because it is centerfire...correct?

I doubt they will change it for 17wsm. Theres no way it as dangerous as a rifled slug gun with those sabot buloets in them. I think wayy back in the day they had 44 rimfires and similar ect that were loaded with blackpowder. Theres still some 5mm rimfires out there atleast the ammo is available.

Great I'm going for the 22mag.....don t want the wife getting on me for getting fined....and I really don t want to use my shotgun when hunting at nighttime in my area to dang loud.....LOL
