I got a Savage 22 mag for Christmas and was wondering what loads do you guys use for groundhogs. I plan on using this gun for shots less than 125 yards, not worried about fur damage. I just want to drop em where there stand kinda bullet.

Haven't used mine in years , but winchester 34 gr. supreme, shot real accurately and worked well on groundhogs. You will just have to see if your gun shoots accurately with them. These were hollow points.

I always found that the original 40 grain winchester JHP shot the best groups out of my ole mossberg...it never liked those fast lightweight bullets and will take out any small game out to 100 without much of a problem.
