Hi folks, I finally got a CVA wolf inline ready for the range. bought Hodgkins (sp?) triple seven primers. They would not work. I couldn't not get the trigger to engage (stay in the cocked position). befuddled I looked at several things, eventually using an old primer I had. Switched primers and the gun worked properly. It seemed like the triple seven primer had a flare to the lip as it formed the barrel of the primer that my other primer did not and this had ever so slightly more primer away from where it seats to cause the trigger cocking mechanism to not work (or work I suppose) So the gun closed and cocked with no primer, closed and cocked with my old 209 primer and closed but would not stay cocked with my triple seven 209 primer. Any thoughts?? Anyone have this happen to them. Thanks, keystonepaul

A 209 shotgun primer is fine for 777. Maybe be hotter than one needs but ok to use...a little more crud that's all.

If it don't fit...it don't fit.
