I did the skull mount myself, and had a turkey call making buddy of mine, Pat Strawer, also the 2016 GNCC Friction calling champ, make the base.
Pat offered to make the base for me. All I told him was I wanted it to be Cherry, since I shot the buck out of cherry tree, and I wanted it to be a desk mount.
Boy did he knock this one out of the park. That is a real deer antler on there, and the base is a laminate. I just love this.
I was going to get it professionally done and dipped, but after the way this turned out I don't think I could be any happier.
He now sits on my desk at work upon it. Man this season sparked my love for archery and the rut 10 fold.
