That's my guess as well. I think I am taking off the week leading up to Halloween this year. The only day of archery hunting that I saw chasing this year was on October 19th. Some of my buddies who hunt saw chasing on October 27th this year. I hunted 90% of the days this past season, a personal record for me for hours spent in a tree.

Luckily, my work is flexible for vacation time. I think I will set in stone the week before Halloween, and have a few "floater" days for November and/or rifle hunting.

If you start with Thanksgiving and work backward, Firearm Bear season should begin Sat- 11/23, Archery Bear Should begin Monday- 11/18, and Archery Deer should therefore end Sat. 11/16- going back 6 weeks, gives us a starting date of 10/5.

Doing the same as everyone else- trying to get vacations figured so we can get them in.

April BOC meeting is when dates are finalized but they are pretty set in stone and rarely change.
