I'll add a few more details as I get them written, or attach a few of the NWTF news releases. Those that attended please continue to add your comments and your involvement.
2010 NWTF Convention was Awesome... the best convention I have ever attended yet hands down. For 3 days you heard, seen, talked, experienced, and felt the excitement throughout the convention center around all the turkey calling, turkey call manufactures, turkey hunting booths, turkey mounts, camo this camo that, all kinds of firearms on display to check out, vehicles, videos and lots of video tape available to buy, all the latest and best turkey calls to use and get tips on how to use, seminars, and more seminars, and more seminars and presentations, turkey exhibit halls were packed with hunters and vendors, heard attendance was going to be in the 40,000++ range.
Awesome experience for those that got into it... Attended 4 days with the extra day being with other NWTF state and local chapter leaders. The work that is being done by both NWTF volunteers and NWTF partnership state and federal agencies across United States, Canada, and Mexico is incredible. There is an Alaska chapter system that believes in the NWTF mission statement and their new business model so much that they have their own state and local chapters.
The news releases and internet reviews that I have been reading parallel what I saw first hand and experienced in my 4 days at the Opryland Convention Center. Just one word to express the messages coming out of this convention - Awesome.
NWTF breakfast, lunch, and dinner programs are one of my favorites because one gets to experience and hear what is happening across this great country by do many NWTF volunteers getting involved and getting the work done for our wild turkey conservation and hunting heritage. NWTF Outreach programs and events are the best, and to see the smiles on kids and adults faces that are attending these events is a joy to behold.
NWTF wild turkey conservation awards are presented to many individuals and state and local chapters who believe in and work with NWTF's mission statement and the opportunities through these events, super fund banquet programs, and many other NWTF ways to help Tell The Story, Pass It On.
