My buddy has some left over deer steaks from almost two years ago. I'm guessing its freezer burned but not 100% sure. Anyway, is this meat still okay to use for jerky or is it just bad at this point?
cut off the freezer burn while still frozen, down to good red meat, thaw,slice and jerkey. You'll be fine as long as the freezer burn isn't too bad. I have antelope vacuum packed from several years ago that is still good.
