Two weeks till our gang, the "Fakowee" tribe, will be heading to South Carolina to hunt free range hogs along the Savannah River.
This will be our 12th trip to Wild Things in Estill. Normally 8 of us fill the camp, but this year due to family plans and a change in the management, i.e. higher costs, only 5 will be making the trip.

Last year we sow over 300 hogs in 5 days and brought 5 home. All with stickbows!

Ok...gotta order my lisence.

Nice! I hunted down that way years ago with Black River Plantation. Love the area. Kill some of them moccasins while you are there!

This is the latest in the year that we have ever gone. Seen copperheads and non-poisonous. Definitely have to keep your eyes open. About a third of the 3500 acres we hunt is swamps right down be the river. We do see a lot of gators.

Its a pretty cool hunt when you are not necessarily at the top of the food chain.
