looking to get a 1648 sc with 60 /40 jet to use for hunting and fishing price is right and would like to have new. Anyone have one and thoughts? I'm using it on rivers and some marsh areas. Need some thing better than A1436 with a mud motor that I use now.

I had a 1548 Grizzly no gas motor just electric. Nice boat but it sat high on the trailer making shallow spots(Hopewell/Struble) difficult. I had to get wet to get if on/off.

Your not gonna want the jet in any kind of marsh. I had a 15/48 grizzly with a 50hp tiller evinrude. It was a decent boat. Welded float pods on it made it very stable, I could stand on top of a pod and the bow would barely raise. I got it for a heck of a deal, that said I'd never buy one new. The welds were horrible (most might not notice but I am a welder by trade so it annoyed me) I almost ground them all out and re-welded every stringer in the boat. A friend of mine now owns it doesn't have any problems.

Keep an eye on the welds. Had a friend with one and he had several welds crack. Not a big deal though he just took it somewhere and had them re-welded for $40
