Had a pretty good day of hunting on the 20th. Saw 7 hunters out which is more than I saw last rifle season even on the first day. I saw 9 deer total. This one made the mistake of coming 20 yards away at 11:40am. Took her with my CVA Hunterbolt Magnum .50 caliber inline using 275 grain powerbelts with 50 grains of FF black powder. I hit her right in the white spot in the throat and she dropped on the spot. Now its time to bust the bow out again and see if I can find the antlered variety. Good luck everyone and be safe.

Yeah. No need for more. This is my second with the inline. My first was at 9 yards. All of my shots with it come within 50 yards. I only shoot 50 grains of FF in my flintlock as well and I've taken 4 with it. Have had no problems grouping out to 75 yards with either gun but 95% of the deer I shoot at with the muzzleloaders are basically in bow range.
