the drivers door on my o9 F-150 supercab will not unlock with the key or keyfob, the door lock will go up but comes down right away again. even if I unlock it with the key the lock will go up but the door will not open. the only way the door opens is if I crawl in the passenger door and open from the inside. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had a similar problem with my Ford F-250. I was living with it until the door latch wouldn't always latch shut and going around a sharp curb my door flew open and I almost rolled right out of the truck. I took it to the garage and explained my problem. The mechanic pin pointed the problem right away. He said that after awhile the spray from all the salt on the roads during the winter works it way into the inside of your door and corrodes/ rusts up the mechanism. Making it worst was that up here where I live they use the fracking water from the wells to mix with salt as a spray on the roads. He said that water is full of all kinds of crap that rusts your vechile. We pulled the inside panel off the door so he could get at the lock parts. It must have took 20 minutes at least of spraying lubricant and moving the lock rods up and down with a screwdriver to finally free everything. There's only one or two small access holes to work thru so it kind of frustrating to work on. Hope this helps ya!
