Can you use a modern peep sight on a percussion ML rifle, while hunting deer. yes, during the black powder season and throughout rifle season.

Is the in line rifle with Pyrodex pellets legal...

I just returned from our Maine bear hunt over bait with (2) of my great uncles who at 81 and 84 yrs old. They both hunted with modern guns and I with my trusty Lyman GPH 50 cal.

Definitely start with the RB's and get the feel and routine down solid. Lots of combinations out there to try. PB's have been superb in the deerstalker we have producing 1" groups at 50 and 1.5"...

I shot one in Maine 2 years ago with my 50 cal Lyman. NO issues. 245 aerotip powerbelts, 90gr 2f 77, 5 gr 3f BP. Through chest elft to right and went about 50 yds.
