I don't have first hand other than handling it at the local shop. I was impressed how it pointed and handled though. Also S&W has a 50 dollar rebate on them now until December sometime.

I had one up until 2 years ago when I bought a Browning. Never had any issues and also found that it patterned well with 3" but I never tried 3 1/2.

Actually whether or not other states have openers the same day should not matter in regards to a Saturday opener if SH passes. One of the arguments in favor of SH is giving youth more opportunities....

Make sure you don't overfill your flash pan with powder. Too much powder actually can cause a delay. Also the hardness of your frizzen and the quality of the flint can make a big difference.

Both guns have basically the same design action and come out of the same factory. I have the Browning Silver which is similar and love it. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I don't know how long they were made, but when I bought my 30-06 Featherweight back around 1988 they offered them in 280.

I have the same gun in 12 ga. which is worth about half of what the 20 ga. is because they were more common. They are well built and good shooters. If you can get it for a fair price I'd say go for...

I got the 4185 hunting blade with the maple burl handle. I see what you mean about that #85. It looks like a handy size for small game. This was my 1st Queen purchase but it surely won't be my last.

I had a 20 ga double trigger a couple years ago. It shot really well and pointed nice for me. I sold it only because i wanted something else more at the time. I read the good and bad about them too....
